Be Kind

It’s not really that difficult is it?

Be kind to people you meet.

You have no idea what they may or may not have been through, or what they could be going through now.

Even those perfect parents, with their perfect children and their perfect house.

Trust me. Nothing is perfect.

Everyone has battles to fight.

Some may seem to handle them better than others, but that doesn’t mean we should just let them get on with it. Is it that difficult to hold out your hands and say “I’m here if you need me”?

There is nothing wrong with needing help and advice.

Its one of the reasons our society has lasted so long. We listen and learn from others, and we go on to improve on what we’ve discovered.

So the next time you’re in a bad mood and about to take it out on , well, anyone, don’t.

It’s not big and it’s not clever.

What a lovely post. If everyone followed this, life would be so much easier. X

So true. You never know what is really going on in someone else’s life. And n matter how bad yours might feel (like mine today!), there are always LOTS of people much worse off than you. In many different ways. So be grateful for what you do have. Easier said than done though, I’ll be honest!!

AGREED! I try to live by these standards 🙂

Indeed! Unfortunately some people just don’t seem to work that way! >_<

It is much easier said than done, that’s so true! But it’s worth working at it! 🙂

Same here! I think it’s something easy to forget though, when you’re in the middle of something big in your life. Thing is, that’s when others should be being more gracious towards you, as you are to them! People are nuts sometimes… LOL

So true. I am a bit guilty of this. My poor husband often says the following “it costs nothing to be nice” or I wasn’t the one to upset you” I do tend to vent and be grumpy!

    Perfect.

I have this quote on my desktop “Be kind to everyone, because everyone else is fighting a battle, just like you.”

You know, I’ve noticed I do this a lot less since being single… probably cause my life is just that bit simpler now! LOL

Thanks sweety! I think most people do, but there are always some who just don’t seem to see the point or something. I don’t understand *those* people! >_<

It’s a darned good job I read this just before the call centre person rang up interrupting my R&R and potentially waking up little un (who shouldn’t still be asleep anyway but has had a hectic day)!

I was ever so nice to him 🙂

Incidentally, I agree, but sometimes it’s hard!

Oh sometimes they can be hard to be nice to. I quite often end up getting het up about things on the phone, but I do put in the “I know it’s not you personally, I’m sorry if I seem to be taking it out on you, but it’s just so frustrating, you know?” or something similar, and then they’re on my side! 😉
With cold callers though I usually just say “not interested, take me off your list please!” in a singsong voice and hang up. 😉

Great post. I wish more people (including myself) showed that sentiment.

It’s hard to keep in mind sometimes, especially when there’s a lot on our plates, so don’t worry or guilt-trip yourself, ok! x
