Five Sleeps to go!

Here I was counting down the days till my boys got to go away for a few days, and now I’m counting down the days till they come back.

I am *loving* the freedom of being able to stay up late and sleep all day, but I am getting bored VERY easily!

It takes me like an hour to get through all the posts in my reader.

Normally that would take a whole day with many many interruptions from the kidlets!

I keep wandering around the house like a spare prick. Not sure what to do with myself.

It’s so strange without the boys about.

I miss them soo much.

I can’t wait till I can get my snuggles from my boys again.

They’re settling happily up at their dad’s, which is a good thing.

He’s even sent me some photos on my mobile so I can see what they’re up to!

Zack has been busy playing in a fort he and his Uncle made together (who’s 11).

Max has been playing with cars non-stop apparently, and is being thoroughly spoiled with attention from his uncles, nan and grandad, as well as his dad of course.

I’m sooo relieved that they’re having a good time.

But I can’t help but feel a little sad that they’re not missing me.

I know, right?

I should be chilling out and enjoying myself.

I *am* chilling out lots, and enjoying just being able to relax.

I miss my kiddies more though.

I can’t believe it’s only Tuesday.

They’re not due back until Sunday afternoon.

What am I supposed to do till then??

I thought this week would be perfect timing for going out for long walks along the sort of places I can’t normally go with the kids and a buggy in tow.

However Mother Nature has decided that I should stay inside.

It’s actually been snowing.

SNOWING for christ’s sake!

It’s all icky and grey and horrid out there.

I was going to take the time to learn more about my camera etc and work on my photography some.

But my main subjects aren’t here!

And with it being icky and dark and grey out there the light in the house is shite.

I was going to do some more things with my site, but I find myself getting bored after about 15 minutes of staring at the screen.

I was going to read more, but I’ve read every book in the house and the thought of going out in that rain/sleet/icky stuff to the library puts me off!

Basically, I need some ideas!

What can I do?

Have you guys got any awesome blogs that you know of that aren’t in my (dwindling) blogroll that I could read?

Any inspirational posts about flash photography inside the home?

Anything at ALL to make the next 5 days go more quickly?

I miss my boys sooo much it’s pathetic!

Aww! You can download e-books for free if you want something to read. Or…erm…get into some TV programmes (may I suggest Dollhouse, Firefly, Desperate Housewives and Supernatural) that you can watch online. Or you could take up facebook gaming and waste hours on farmville and the like!

It’s hard! I look forward to a break so much and then find that I look forward to seeing them again even more than I looked forward to the break, then I kick myself an hour after getting home for not making more of it lol. It is snowing badly here too but go out in it, get to the library and do some shopping or you will go mad. Oh, and blog lots :D:D:D Jen.

I think the facebook gaming may win through there! I love ebooks but hate being glued to the computer to read them. Would love a kindle (or iPad…?!) but waay out of my budget!

I am thinking the blogging lots may be the way to go… just need to actually focus on what the hell I’m going to write! 😉

I would advise many long baths, lots of hot chocolate/tea/coffee (insert hot drink of choice) and a bloody good paperback book – how about Dune, or anything by Robert Rankin. Also, catching up on some telly or a good video.

Of course, we can’t overlook just missing your babies – not long now.

Long baths… now that’s something I haven’t done for a while! I got some new goodies for it for my birthday too! I’ve read all the books in my house and have run out of movies to watch. Plus thanks to sky+ i’m already caught up on tv! >_<

awwwwwwww, isn’t it always the way. You look forward to a break from the hellions and then realise that you just can’t function without them.

A few years ago I went to a conference for 5 days. Was so excited about being kid free. Spent most of my free time looking for presents for them.
