NaNoWriMo envy

So there are a lot of people doing NaNoWriMo this month. I have pondered trying it over the last couple of years, but I just don’t think I have that kind of stamina for writing, never mind the creativity needed for it. I don’t have a creative writer’s bone in my body!

I think eh closest thing to writing a novel I could do would be memoirs, and really – you already get that on my blogs, so why would I bother re-hashing it?

I really admire those who have these ideas going around in their heads, and even more so the ones who actually manage to take that leap to writing it down on paper (or pc/mac… whatever).

To have the ideas for different characters made up in your mind, and make them into someone you can tune into and ride the journey with is truly inspiring. It’s just not my thing.

Descriptive writing, I can do. Critical writing, I can do. Creative writing? Not so much. Certainly not enough to splurt out a 50k novel in 30 days!

So for those who are writing for NaNoWriMo, or just for yourself, at your own pace. I applaud you, I envy you, and I would love a cameo when your book gets made into a movie.

Go you!

I appreciate the support! But honestly, your life thus far would make a great memoir in the future! Do consider writing one when you’re older; it’s nice to read back in the archives, but to have one definitive story of your life in a single book would just be oh so fascinating to read! There are even books on helping you to write them as well!

Oh I don’t know – so much of it would be about people I feel it wouldn’t be good to write about to be honest! Thanks for the encouragement though. 😉
