Sci-fi vs Fantasy

I’m a self confessed geek.

Doctor Who and Game of Thrones.

Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

The Matrix and Harry Potter.

How are you supposed to choose between them?

Well, there’s no need to choose.

I’d say when it comes to gaming, I definitely have a penchant for the more fantasy based storylines, but other than that? I love a mixture of them all.

The Walking Dead, True Blood, Game of Thrones, Teen Wolf, Supernatural, Doctor Who… my main favourites when it comes to TV series that are out these days.

They’re both sci-fi and fantasy.

How can you possibly choose between Doctor Who and Game of Thrones??

You can’t.

It’s impossible, I’m telling you.

And if you disagree, I’m sorry, but we just cannot possibly be friends.

There’s no need for favouritism in the world of sci-fi and fantasy.

Just no need!

I’ve yet to watch Game of Thrones but I don’t think it’ll be long before I succumb. I’m such a huge fan of Doctor Who that we named our daughter after one of the characters. I agree though, there is no either or when you can watch both. Besides that’s what DVRs and SKY+ are for!

All I can say is that my love of science fiction and fantasy was my guilty secret until I found via twitter that there were adults like me 🙂
