The Perfect Man

You’ll no doubt have seen this meme doing the rounds. The lovely Judith at Eh, Mummy? (*love* this name by the way!) decided to tag me. I’m sure it’s so she can hook me up with someone when we eventually get to meet up and have those jaegerbombs!

However… there’s one little teensy weensy problem.

I don’t really want a man at all, perfect or not.

I actually like being on my own, having no one to answer to, and being able to do what I like, when I like.

I guess, if I was ever to design the perfect man, he’d be something like this:

Looks like Johnny Depp.

Sings like Michael Buble.

Dances like Ricky Whittle (if you don’t know what I’m talking about then google his name, with Strictly Come Dancing… you’ll soon see what I mean!).

Cooks like Gordon Ramsay.

Earns loads of money (yes, I’m shallow like that… I want a Nikon D90 one day for goodness sake!)

Works away from home the majority of the time.

Doesn’t pester me to, eh, do the deed, all the time.

Doesn’t need constant reassurance that I love him.

Trusts me implicitly.

Is a wonderful male role model to my children, and respects the relationship I maintain with their dad.

Oh, and did I mention he’d need to have a high speed internet connection installed into my house?

Yes, I think that about sums it up.

Still, I’m not going to be looking for anyone any time soon.

I like my space.

I like my freedom to choose what to do with the kids, what to spend money on etc.

I enjoy my own company.

Sometimes I even like to talk to myself (yes really, don’t call the people in white coats though, it’s usually about a blog post I’m trying to think out). Can’t do that if there’s anyone else around now can I?

I’m supposed to tag someone for this, but as it’s pretty much done the rounds, I think I’ll just leave it open. If you’d like to be tagged, just let me know and I’ll edit to tag you!

*Ssssh* That’s what I’d’ve said if Husband No. 1 didn’t occasionally read the blog. Except the Michael Buble bit (Steven Tyler). Thanks. I know what a pain in the proverbial it is being tagged…
