No really, I want to know!
I want to be able to go visit my friends in a moment’s notice.
I want them to be able to come here too!
Friends in England, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, America, Canada… I am so lucky to have friends all over the world.
I mean really. I don’t know how mothers stayed sane back in the days before internet.
My mum reminds me sometimes about when she had my eldest brother, she had moved from Glasgow, all the way down to the south of England, without even a phone to be able to call her mum, and knew no one.
I honestly don’t think I’d have coped in that situation!
My friends in the internet, they… YOU… keep me sane!
Well, sane ish at least.
And that just makes it all the more unfair that I’ll probably never have the chance to meet some of you.
That makes me sad.
I sometimes daydream about meeting Veronica, for example.
When we’re both a bit older, the kids are more grown up, and slightly easier to handle.
I imagine wanting to just give her a huge (but gentle!) cuddle and talk and take photos and talk and gossip and chatter and… well, you get the picture!
I think some of my favourite days out have been with Nikki, cause she *gets* the hobbies I have, the blogging and the photography. We “know” the same people, and my birthday last year couldn’t possibly have been better than spending it with her and Barbara! (Sqweee!!! APRIL!!!!)
I would love to shadow Jeanette at a photo shoot, and spend a day talking “shop”, or spend an evening out with Jen, and be able to talk and talk about everything and nothing, and knowing that she *gets* what my life is like.
So who ever is trying to invent that teleporter, GET TO IT already! There are so many people I want to meet, but I need to be able to get back in time for the sitter to go home!
