Planner Sunday

Planner Sunday

planner sunday green and black theme

Sunday is one of my favourite days of the week.

You wanna know why?

It’s the day I get to look to the week ahead and plan out what I’m doing.

It’s the day I choose from my rather large collection of washi tape to decorate my filofax and use pretty coloured pens.

Basically, I get to play with my planner supplies and have fun with pretty things!

It’s become a bit of a ritual for me now.

Once the kids go to bed, I get into a comfy top and leggings (if I’m not already), find something to watch on Netflix (I’m going through Arrow at the moment! Oliver Queen… *grins*) and gather my supplies!

I start by choosing a colour theme for the week. Do I want black and white? Pastels? Neons?

This week it was green and black.

Isn’t this tape adorable? I used up the last of it doing this layout, but I think I may need to get some more!

Once I’ve done that I get out my stamps and add them in… matching in colour, obviously!

I love the hydrate stamp the most! It’s been really helpful to keep an eye on my water intake and make sure I’m getting enough! (Can you tell what day I’m writing this on? Thank god for scheduling!)

Then I look around my sticker collection and see what I can add.

I prefer a mostly minimal look, as I love having lots of space to write in!

Once I’ve decorated, it’s time to check the following:

  1. our family calendar for any appointments.
  2. my editorial calendar to schedule in when to write my blog posts (this is a new one, trust me!)
  3. emails for any webinars I’m signed up for.
  4. twitter chats, see what sounds interesting and pencil in the times if I can make them. I like to attempt to make it to two of these a week. Not only are they fun and great for ideas, I’m finding more like minded people to follow and get to know, which has to be a good thing, right?

And that’s about it!

Once I’m finished that, it’s time to open up my Desire Map Planner and get clear on that for the week ahead, but I’ll save that one for another post!

Do you have any Sunday evening rituals, planning or otherwise? I’d love for you to leave me a comment and let me know!

I’m the same now, recently started decorating my planner but I love doing it!
I adore your layout, which pens are you using? They look very cool.

      It’s so much fun isn’t it? 🙂
The pens are Pilot Hi-Tec Maica in a 0.3 nib. They’re my absolute favourite! Have to get them from Ebay as they’re not sold over here though.

I wish I had the time to be this organised although I have just invested in a white board to plan a month ahead! I do love a plan x

It only takes me about 30-40 min to do! Has made life a lot easier, and I actually look forward to Sundays now. 😀 x

I bloody love this! I’m generally a writer in my planner but totally understand why people decorate. I NEED some stamps, to be honest – but then I’m in a pocket-sized notebook at the moment and stamps do take up a LOT of room. Decisions, decisions!!

See this is why I love my A5 filofax! It stays on my desk (I use my phone calendar on the go) and I have it open daily!
I have list pads for my 3 Blog MITs and my 3 housework stuff MITs, and a shitload of notebooks I’m trying to work my way through for writing actual notes in! 😉

I used to be exactly the same till I fell out of love with my Filofax. I moved to the Blogtacular planner and was doing well. Then a bad turn of events got me all messed up. But my plan once the kids are back at school is to get my plan on. Can’t wait. Love the idea of planning Twitter chats. Where do you look ?

I’ve managed to figure out when a few of the chats are and I just pop them into my planner so I remember. 🙂 Going to try to find out what they all stand for etc and pop them in a google calendar or something!
I was like that too – I still have times where I don’t look at it much, but it helps so much particularly with blogging, I don’t think I could be regular about writing without it! 🙂
